Zusammenfassung

Competences evaluation of students is a central component in which higher education is currently based, being essential for both, the educational institutions and the subsequent professional performance. To rely on the appraisal of the different groups related to the acquisition and performance of these competencies is apprehended as a quality criterion for the continuous improvement of the curricula. The purpose of this work is to find out and comprehend the stakeholder’s awareness perception: students, graduates (professionals), educators (clinical tutors), and employers, regarding the impact of training on the attainment of specific competencies of Nursing Grade title in the Community of Madrid. A descriptive study using a cross-sectional survey to explore the awareness of these stakeholders’ groups was conducted, utilizing an explicitly validated instrument for nursing competencies, as expressed in article 3 of the Order CIN 2134/2008 of 3 July, that translates them into learning results. The results show that the stakeholders contemplate that formal training provides for the most performance of competencies is provided by clinical instructors. This contest to employee’s awareness that contemplates that such training provides slightly, making evident the existing gap between university clinical training and what the labor market anticipates for professional practice. A replication of this study than expand the university sample and the analysis of attainment of specific competencies for all disciplines could contribute to the continuous improvement of university titles programs.
