Abstract

This paper contemplates the existence of visual discourses arranged in sequences on the portals and certain capitals of Jaca (ca. 1086-1094) and Santiago de Compostela (ca. 1101-1111) Romanesque cathedrals. Those who conceived them took into consideration both the specific location of each theme and the order in which it was to be seen, with the purpose of linking semantic and formal dialogues to the circulation of the faithful.
