Resumen

Resumen Hikikomori es un fenómeno complejo caracterizado por un aislamiento social severo. Durante años se ha considerado como un síndrome cultural limitado a Japón; sin embargo, la amplia descripción de casos fuera de Japón parece refutar esta teoría. Supone un importante problema de salud pública, por su elevado impacto social y el perjuicio que causa en la salud física y psíquica de las personas que lo sufren. El abordaje terapéutico debe ser multidisciplinar, con una buena coordinación entre los diferentes profesionales del sistema sanitario
