Abstract
In this paper we try to show that the heraldic designs do not conform to rigid and immovable norms, but even when it comes to the real shields there can be different models of representation. And we will see this through the heraldic covers, comparing the different editions of the famous Pragmatics of treatments and courtesies of 1586, and how these covers were a model for the realization of armories in other supports, as is the case of the colegio de Santiago de Huesca, which shows a real shield on its cover of very peculiar characteristics and it will be possible to discover which was the model of it.
