Abstract

It is inevitable to recognize that, although two decades into the 21st century, the museum is still searching for its identity. The demands of the public, the social, economic and political context marke distraits throughout its history, creating in the twentieth century a very diverse panorama due to the unequal responses to these requests. Today, museums continue to be cultural references and have a broad social influence, yet they continue to be constrained by political correctness. Fort here to be a transformation, questioning is necessary, and it will be the critical visitor who will formulate the challenges to which the audacious professionals who will lead the necessary changes will respond. On the other hand, the global museum has become marginal and we are now looking for a more concrete and direct approach that really reaches the intellect and heart of the visit or using all the resources.
