Abstract
The history of women has been relegated to an occult and obscurantism. In the case of military history, there are very few examples of women in charge of the troop or who have had an important participation in some battles. However, this does not mean that there were no capable women in the military field and that they played an important role in the army. In these lines the role of Ana M.ª de Soto, who was the first woman to belong to the marine infantry of the army of the Hispanic monarchy, will be described. The character that happens to us, was able to enlist in the 6th Company of the 11th Marine Battalion by own will after posing as a man with brown hair. The following article highlights the main events and military activity of Ana M.ª de Soto, highlighting the capabilities of this woman in the field of Hispanic navy, becoming Sergeant Major and obtain a pension for life thanks to its roar in combat and his military good work.
