Zusammenfassung

The aim of this paper is to analyse, from a microeconomic approach, the evolution of household consumption and saving during the Great Recession. It is necessary a survey with household micro-data with information about income, consumption and saving, so it is developed a statistical matching method to merge the Household Budgetary Survey (HBS) and the Survey of Income and Living Conditions (SILC). The analysis includes information about the households’ average propensities to consume and save from 2007 to 2015 by income levels and household type.
