Résumé
We analyze the different attempts of installation, in the Madrid’ University City, of a Botanical Garden; we present, through the information transmitted by the periodic press, the process of transformation of the natural wooded space into an urban area; and we value, in particular, the participation of the Real Colegio de Farmacéuticos de Madrid in the university garden project. We review the different projects designed and the changes made in their conception, until we reach the establishment of the current ‘Real Jardín Alfonso XIII’.
