Abstract

The used vegetable oil could be recycled in a way that allows not only minimize waste but obtained an alternative energy away from petrol-diesel. In Canary Islands the production of residual vegetable, estimated from the amount of oil imported, is in the order of 27000 Tm/year from which 11158 Tm/year are from the island of Tenerife. If the wastes considered are only from service establishments the generation of wastes for Tenerife is the about 4000 Tm/year. These dates justify a plant to obtain biodiesel.
