Abstract

By the evaluation of some biological and behavioural indicators, this study attemps to recognize which of them would be right signals of the subjects adaptation level to the shift-work. We can predict the subjects efficiency and adaptation level to the shift-work by the measurement of five physiological variables: cardiac rythm, sistolic preassure, diastolic preassure, breathing rythm, peripherical temperature, and two behavioural variables: answer criterion and awakeness test detection. Therefore, this study detects some relevant alterations in those subjects who carry out this short of tasks, which can be the origin of the workers decreasing productivity.
