Abstract

Method. The current study is framed within the context of Castilla-La Mancha having as its main objective to propitiate a change within the educational community that allows an adequate detection and attention to the educational needs of those students with high abilities. The research is mainly descriptive, pretending to critically analyse the reality at the same time the research is conducted. Results. It has been found that a slight change is encouraged in order to overcome the traditions conceptions of intelligence with new pathways being opened to conceive giftedness as the conjunction of complex characteristics that interact among them. Conclusions. The creation of innovative measures is proposed, as the eco-classrooms, configured as learning communities that facilitate the holistic development of all abilities, competencies and values of the students, who plan, conduct and regulate their own work, under the mediation of teachers, through diversified didactic methods, in an open multipurpose space technologically organised respecting nature.
