Zusammenfassung

Facts about vegetal landscape in Mallorca and Ibiza (Balearic Islands, Spain). This is a description of the vegetation and vegetal landscape in Ibiza y Mallorca islands, that has been permormed to serve as geobotanical guide of the VII International Excursion of Phytosociology. This guide contains: (1) General information about geology and climatology in the islands. (2) Biogeographical typology in the Balearic Islands and ecological and biogeographical diagnosis by means of the west mediterranean taxa. (3) Bioclimatology with tables of synoptical climatical data and differents pluviothermic diagrams. (4) Description about natural vegetation in the Balearic Islands. (5) Description of the different vegetation series and most characteristic formations. (6 a 8) Differents itineraries in Ibiza and Mallorca are shown, with catenal diagrams, ilustrations and descriptions of the vegetal landscape and the plant communities that will be studied in each one of the selected localities of the itinerary. (9) Phyitosociological classification and typology of the plant communities in Ibiza and Mallorca Islands. Some new sintaxa are proposed: Teucrio dunense-Helianthemetum caput-felicis, Helianthemo serrae-Micromerietum microphyllae, Teucrio dunense-Thymelaetum velutinae, Halimonienion halimifolii, Smilaco balearicae-Ampelodesmetum mauritanicae and Buxo balearicae-Genistetum majorici. (10) List of the plant taxa cited in the work. (11) Alphabetic index of the syntaxa mentioned in the guide. (12) Bibliographic compilation concerning the Balearic Islands closed the work.
