Zusammenfassung

The credit cards Spanish market is one of the best equipped in the world due to its great teal of means and instruments (cash dispenser and EFTS). However, all these means and instruments are less used in the Spanish market than in others developed countries markets. For this reason, the main objective of this doctoral thesis is the analysis of the credit card Spanish market, its evolution and present situation besides the conditions (legal, economic and so on) of credit card payments in our country. In this paper, we pursue to get knowledge about the possible reasons that allow us to explain the underuse of credit cards in Spain if we compare it with most developed countries.
