Abstract

The coexistence of a variety of terms: information literacy, computer literacy, media literacy, digital literacy, among others, presents a confusing scenario for students, researchers and information professionals. In this paper, adopting an evolutionary approach, we propose a conceptual map that allows us to understand the changes experienced by information literacy concept in order to adapt it to the recent needs of the Knowledge Society, as well as their relationships and overlaps with other types of literacy.
