Abstract

Liveweight gains, yield and carcass characteristics and the main hematic parameters indicative of the nutritional status were measured in 54 Gigante de España rabbits grown under three different, cereal depending, diets (barley¬corn-wheat). Four weeks old rabbits were weaned and inmediately they were feed ad libitum with similar rations at the energetic level (2900±50 kcal. ED/kg) with 18% crude protein and 40% of cereal. No significant differences amongtheyield parameters, were observed, but a significant, inverse correlation between triglicerids and serum proteins was detected
