Resumen

Most of the islets that constitute the Columbretes Islands are phonolitic in composition and constitute a succession of small vol-canoes that line up in a N170ºE direction. From north to south, the phonolitic volcanoes of Ferrera, Piedra Joaquín, La Horadada and El Bergantín follow one another. The remains of other volcanoes, now submerged, to the north and south, complete this alignment of more than 12 kilometers in length.
