Abstract
The periimplantary bone healing is based in the same aspects of another bone healing with some special characterists related to bone and biomaterial surface and the influence on biomechanical loads. It has been made a review about biological behaviour of bone in differents healing stages, actual treatment and superficial coats of dental implants. Bone periimplantary healing depends not only of morphological and biomaterial composition so that several factors as anatomical site, age, systemic status or animal species. The morphology and composition of implants surfaces affect the adhesion ability, platelet agregation, migration, proliferation and diferentiation of bone stem cells, in the quantity and quality on bone formation, and in the distribution of biomechanical loads to the bone creating a determinated process of bone aposition.
