Out of all media screens, television still holds the greatest potential for socialization. Parents are concerned about what their children see on the screens, many of them feel confused and lost because they do not know what their kids do with other media screens (computers, DVDs and mobile apparatuses). Family homes are filled with media screen, and we must learn how to live with them; parents need guidelines in order to transform audiovisual consumption into a healthy diet. This paper presents a research carried on by the authors in the Autonomous Community of Aragon (Spain), in order to analyze the perception that parents have regarding the use of new communication technologies, especially regarding their children's consumption of multi-screen media. This paper draws as a conclusion that television is still the main media screen for children during their leisure time.
