Resum

L’article discuteix el concepte de ciutadania associat a la infància. A través d’una aproximació analítica, es pretén oferir un marc teòric i epistemològic que permeti conèixer les diferents postures que sustenten aquest concepte, tant des del punt de vista ideològic com filosòfic, i que, al mateix temps, es troben als diversos debats sobre la naturalesa dels drets dels infants a les societats democràtiques. Per a això, es revisen les discussions contemporànies entorn del concepte de ciutadania i se sistematitza i s’ordena la literatura cientificosocial produïda, fonamentalment, a partir de la dècada dels anys vuitanta del segle passat. L’article conclou amb un balanç sobre les implicacions i l’impacte d’aquests corrents teòrics en la reconceptualització de l’infant com a subjecte de ciutadania.
