Abstract

The anatomical sculptures of wax (ceroplástica) in Veterinary have like capital gure to Cristóbal Garrigó de Nis (1800-1863) already documented in the bibliography. However, his work had continuity in his son, Pedro Garrigó Cánovas (1826-1858), of which there is hardly any data. In the family saga of artists he was able to learn the techniques and skills that were embodied in a set of pieces he made for the General Cavalry Academy of Alcalá de Henares, heritage that has not been preserved, and in a collection of anatomical pieces that they keep in the Faculty of Veterinary of Saragossa. His premature death, at 32, put an end to veterinary ceroplastics in Spain. In the communication the found data of his biography and his production as a ceroescultor are presented
