Abstract

We have analyzed in several previous investigations the potential of social networks to promote new teaching strategies of active, engaged and critical citizenship. In this new research, whose results are presented, we have focused on analyzing the emerging political-pedagogical discourse of a young political party United We Can, the result of the confluence of a new kind, we and other traditional, Izquierda Unida, which they have managed to innovate their social interaction with citizens through social networks, particularly Twitter. Through the review of the tweets generated by their leaders, around the period of the general elections in 2016, it aims to analyze the model of political and ideological discourse that spreads in networks and how it influences the construction of a given sociopolitical imagination of those who use this social network. The results show a new way to closer political education for young people, engaging and connect more easily with it, breaking the old mold model of serious matter and serious issue that had traditionally politics. Despite the possible questioning of the possible trivialization of politics, the truth is they have created trend toward what we might call the politically correct plebeian joy speech overflowing
