Abstract
The present paper expects to raise, from an integrative perspective focused on the analysis of economic and territorial dynamics, the process of expansion of Malaga airport, linking past needs with more immediate derived benefits and impacts. A significant case study due to the role which the airport plays as a top level international touristic destination and as a key part of the contemporary urbanization process on the Mediterranean coast of Andalucia.
