Resumo
The purpose of this report is to provide an approximation of the concept and practice of cultural diplomacy, and to make a concise and updated status of the question for the Spanish case. For this purpose we will define, in the first place, the theoretical scope and practicality of such expression, noting the different applications to which has been subjected. Next, we will review the historical trajectory that has travelled around Spain in this area until arriving at our days.
