Abstract

We conducted a literature review of studies which, among other social phenomena, analyzed aspects related to 15-M by analyzing tweets and Big Data. Its exploration has led us to believe that there are numerous quantitative analysis to develop very descriptive and analytical approaches, but with limited interpretive potential of the important role that emotions play in these spaces. For this reason we focus: i) Critical Discourse Analysis of tweets, pictures, banners and signs of protests in public spaces such as Puerta del Sol and in the “narrative” of some of their groups and most significant activist; and ii) in the ethnographic observation of practices of resistance in public spaces and digital contexts.
