Resumo

Teachers can find important support to reinforce the subjects taught in some films with topics related to specific aspects of the curriculum. We have carried out an experience with the subject of Scientific Culture (4th year of ESO). To apply it to the classroom we make a selection of films related to the theme of the course and we elaborate a file for each film. The content of this reflection instrument proposed the description of the argument and the context with which it was related, the list of the most significant scenes, etc. The collaboration of the students is very interesting for this task. Viewing a full movie is not possible in an hour of class and splitting the film into two sessions has multiple disadvantages. We adopted as a solution to edit the film to get a reduced version of between 20 and 50 minutes: This has allowed us to view it in a single session and it helps us to focus on the didactic content we want to work on.
