Resum

With this article we want to endorse concrete as a sculptural material, for this we will present some brief indications of what it is and how it is carried out in its different technical variants, as well as a tour of different established artists who have used this technique in the construction of his works and finally, different artists who are currently using this sculptural technique will be shown. Demonstrating the need to maintain the teaching of this practice in the Fine Arts schools, reporting great benefits especially to students and recent graduates, giving them the possibility of making sculptures of considerable sizes, stable and durable at low cost, being able to tender contests on a budget affordable. As a professor within the Department of Sculpture and Artistic Training of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Madrid at UCM, I have been promoting and researching the practice of this technique for years with various research papers, seminars, courses and conferences.
