Résumé

A review of studies carried out in the field of Type A behavior pattern in the organizational setting is presented. Some of the major lines of research developed in this field are reviewed, focusing us to: a) Type A behavior pattern as a modulator variable in stressor settings, b) Type A behavior pattern development in women, and c) the relationship between productivity and Type A behavior pattern. The complexity of the problem makes it difficult to proposs steady conclusions, suggesting us to be caution in the assumption of theoretical considerations. Finally some conclusions are proposed, and some future implications are discussed.
