Resumen

El cambio climático afecta y se ve afectado por los recursos hídricos mundiales. En este trabajo se parte del marco conceptual de la seguridad hídrica, elaborado por el Banco Mundial. A continuación, se analizan los capítulos correspondientes a hidrología y recursos hídricos contenidos en los diferentes informes del Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), se presentan y comentan algunos aspectos importantes contenidos en el informe mundial de Naciones Unidas de 2020 sobre agua y cambio climático en el contexto de desarrollo sostenible, y se considera el enfoque de adaptación basado en el desarrollo de los servicios ecosistémicos. En el trabajo se consideran elementos de mitigación, impactos, vulnerabilidad y adaptación. El trabajo continúa, restringido al ámbito de la Unión Europea, presentando los resultados fundamentales de un importante informe de la Agencia Europea del Medio Ambiente sobre adaptación de recursos hídricos y de un trabajo del Joint Research Centre (JRC) de la Unión Europea sobre impactos climáticos relacionados con los recursos hídricos.
