Resumen

This contribution aims to share the experience of participatory action research in the university field (Faculty of Social Work, Universidad Complutense de Madrid). It is an innovative practice that has had as main objectives: the improvement of the educational process; The exploration of new research methods and the analysis of social reality; And the greater involvement of students in the dynamic teaching-learning. To this end, tools such as audiovisual materials (photographs) and the new Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have been used. Among the main results can be highlighted the creation of a corpus of materials through the making of photographs by the students themselves. And the creation of a digital blog with all the contributions. From which an analysis was made of the "looks" and social representations of the students around a central theme (Poverty in our society) in their professional work.
