Résumé

This collaboration proposes a revision around the notion of digital participation, a diffuse concept that suffers from lack of precision and from which it is not possible to provide a finished and definitive definition today, given the constant changes that technological innovation operates on the processes Involved in the different ways in which the citizenship currently carries out such participation. Nevertheless, it is presented as a key concept to understand the contemporary subject and its practices in the digital ecosystem, to understand the new communication processes and their audiences, as well as to advance in the construction of an authentic active and empowered digital citizenship. This approach to the notion of participation is carried out, first of all, from the different trajectories to which online participation practices refer today and, second, from the intensity of participation or, what is the same, the degree with which the subject is involved in such practices
