Abstract
On the thirtieth anniversary of the death of Augusto del Noce, his reading of Giuseppe Capograssi’s political philosophy remains highly topical. Del Noce sees in him a continuator of the modernity open to transcendence which, in contrast to immanentist modernity and its abstract conception of freedom and history, makes it possible to problematize atheism, overcome nihilism and rescue the orphaned contemporary concrete individual.
