The world is unstable and changing, and life unfolds facing the changes that bring the unexpected. Catastrophes, disasters, conflicts cause numerous crises that affect people and heritage. International organizations and projects have proliferated in recent decades to deal with the consequences of these crises. Museums have played an important role in these scenarios. Their function is not only to remember and pay tribute to those who lost their lives in these events, but also to learn and raise public awareness so that these events do not recur or their effects will minimize. We are currently in the midst of a global health, economic, political and social crisis. The uncertainty lies in how the reconstruction will take place and how the population will recover; it also arises if and how heritage and museums will be able to survive.
