Abstract
The main goal of this research was to study the relationships between body satisfaction, neuroticism, sports practice, social abilities related to sexual behaviours, and nutritional habits. A sample of 190 participants with ages between 18 and 42 years, mean of 21,55 years, and standard deviation of 3,48, was used. Body satisfaction, sports practice, and social abilities were measured using a Likert-type scale with five response categories. The Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ·A) was used to measure neuroticism. The original dichotomous format of the EPQ·A items was transformed into a Likert-type scale with five response categories. The correlations between the variables studied resulted statistically significant. Differences between sexes were found for ali variables analysed. Using logistic regression, a model to predict nutritional disorders is presented. Based on the variables body satisfaction, sports practice, and social abilities, a tentative intervention model on nutritional disorders is proposed.
