Abstract
The dual nature of paid work prevents establishing a clear and equal relationship in regarding quality of life. This leads to the need to clarify their potential contribution to the well-being of today’s society, which combines two trends that, perhaps, the pandemic has helped to reveal: the constant precariousness of the world of work and the unsustainability of “Low-cost” lifestyles that try to hide it.
