Resumen
The Permian basins in the easternmost part of the Spanish Central System have been ascribed to the tectonic activity that took place during the late Hercynian. The Pálmaces half-graben is mainly due to a complex interaction between the fault system of Angón, largely affecting the hercynian metamorphic rocks, and the well-known Sarteneja Fault
