In a digital context oral archives acquire a greater importance and prominence than in an analogic world, inpart, by the challenges of conservation and preservation but also for the progress of accessibility and retrievalof contentand materials. Today, the trend of these files points to the encoding of content in XML markuplanguage, use metadata and schemas for integrating text, audio, still and moving images, as well asapplications that enable the synchronization. However, not all projects use the same metadata schemes,some of the most commonly used are:Dublin Core, EBUCore, PBCore and MODS, METS, MARCXML, EAD in alesser extent.
