Abstract

The experimental results obtained from growth of brushite (CaHP04 2H20) crystals in silica gel, were described in this paper. The calcium and phosphate concentrations reached in the reaction zone at the formation time of the early nucleus have been determined. The relationship between the morfologies obtained and the supersaturation conditions and supersaturation rate in the reaction zone is proved.
