Résumé

Since the background and beginnings of the method of cases, intervention with families has always been linked to the Social Work of cases and the systemic perspective, as we consider the person as a social person who is in constant interaction with its environment - the family being the immediate surroundings of the person, which operates through repeated transactional patterns that govern relations between the various members of the family. Studies in Social work plans consider this subject as one of the core subjects in the training of the professionals, where the University level should provide a curricular area enabling the training and professionalization of students in relation to the different areas of intervention in Social work providing conceptual and operational structures to guide the professional action. But, occasionally, in the social intervention is complex to transfer theoretical knowledge to professional practice. Therefore, we believe that the training in this area should be seen as an active process of interaction and reflection that allows the internalization of conceptual maps, methodological and attitudinal to provide knowledge of the individual in the family situation and guide the professional practice. Thus, this subject should provide, on the one hand, knowledge and skills necessary for understanding of the difficulties and, by guidance for the knowledge of the individual and his family in direct action, offering social intervention methodological and scientific rigour through the integration of theory and practice.
