Abstract
Postcolonial studies have offered new methods and techniques and, above all, a very different way of analyzing the power relationship of colonial proceses. However, adaptation from the modern context to the Ancient world (specifically the Ancient Greek World) has not been neither plain nor homogeneous. Terminological problems, theoretical questions, conceptual differents, and highly dialectical political confrontations have contributed to making Greek colonialism in the Mediterranean more complex and richer. This article tries to show some vry polemical aspects of this adaptation and to offer some reflections and possibilities of study.
