Zusammenfassung

Cranial cruciate ligament rupture (CrCLR) is the most frequent cause of lameness of the hind limb in dogs. The treatment must be surgical and one of the techniques is the tibial tuberosity advancement (TTA). TTA has evolved since it was firstly described and the trend is to perform surgeries that provide fewer major complications and less osteoarthratis (OA) progression. The objective of this study was to assess a surgical technique called Porous TTA with flange. This study was performed in 65 dogs that underwent Porous TTA with flange procedure, to validate it as an alternative for CrCLR treatment. Complications, progression of OA and clinical outcomes (pain, lameness, weight bearing, flexion, extension, crepitation and atrophy) were reported over three months, at 3, 6 and 12 weeks.
