Abstract
Breast feeding provides the infant with fresh mother’s milk in natural condition. When expressed breast milk has to be used, there is a risk of contamination and deterioration of the milk. Careful expressing, assuring the cold chain during storage and transport and proper handling are essential if its properties are to be maintained.
