Abstract

The unilateral hip pain can be a major diagnostic challenge in pediatrics. Although the most common cause is transient synovitis, there are other diagnoses that should be taken into consideration as septic arthritis, onset forms of inflammatory arthritis, especially those associated with enthesitis, orthopedic disease (Perthes and epiphysiolysis hip) and neoplasms.
