Abstract

Although piracy has a long story through the history of mankind since the beginning of navigation, nowadays it has regained the leading role it once had. The Gulf of Guinea is one of the regions scourged by this problem that many authors argue is linked to problems that arise inland. Consideration of piracy as an organized crime, an element that is always present in armed conflicts, leads the author to propose an analysis of this through a scheme of evaluation of social conflicts
