Abstract
The aim of this article is to analize the political violence in Spain in the twentieth century. We think that this phenomenon is not particular or specific of Spain and that it is necessary lo relate the violent actions of the groups that aren’t in power and the actions of the state itself We use the most modern theories about violent social conflict, analizing the four big periods of the history of Spain in this century: Restoration, Second Republic and Civil War, Franco’s Dictatorship and the new democratic system.
