Abstract
Several populations of various species of Ramalina Ach. from Guadalajara, Madrid and Segovia (Spain) have been analysed by TLC and HPLC. Sekikaic acid in R. calicaris, evernic and obtusatic acids in R. fastigiata and R. pollinaria, norstictic and connorstictic acids in R. polymorpha, and sekikaic and homosekikaic acids in a unknown Ramalina sp., have been detected. Usneic acid, which is characteristic of the whole genus, exhibits a highly variable concentration.
