Abstract
By means of TLC and HPLC analysis of several populations of Ramalina farinacea (L.) Ach. from the region of Madrid (Spain), three of the chemotypes previously described for this species in Europe have been evidenced: chemotype I (1,6%), without lichen substances; chemotype II (97,3%), with protocetraric acid, and chemotype III (1,07%), with salacinic acid and norstictic acid. Three unidentified substances not previously mentioned in this species have also been found.
