Resumen
Words and expressions for sacrifice and offerings in the Middle Assyrian texts are listed and analysed. The word for sacrifice is "niqiu", which is often the object of verbs such as "epasu" and "tadanu". Other expressions for offerinf include the prepositional expression "ana pan(i)" with verbs such as "epasu", for animal sacrifices, and "sakanu", for non-animal offerings. Other verbs such as "salamu" D and "tabaku", the latter for liquid offerings, are also attested. Libations and other special offerings occur as well.
