Resumen

This article conducts a threestep description of the Venezuelan economy during the government of H. Chávez. Starting with the justification of its capitalist nature, it intends to illustrate the mixture of continuing aspects of the previous model with a series of reforms opposed to the neoliberal paradigm. It also illustrates the antisystemic production proposals, which in theory should lead to the socalled Socialism of the XXIth century, though still marginal in the general economic dynamics.
