Resumo
The aim of this article is to present artistic education received in the boys’ choir at the Sacred Heart of Rosales School. The musical practice itself is the basis of their training, and employment of the theory, including the musical language, is directed and adapted according to the needs for auditions. In the voice education it is interleaved: the individual, capella quartets, grouped by voices, and the full choir. The combination of the theories of the great musical pedagogues – Kodaly and Orff mainly – is oriented to an end, with a specific objective. In words of the master Willems, in their formation, a specific method is not applied, neither musical nor extra-musical, but most appropriate part of each method is selected at any time. Being the training itself a creative mean for art creation.
