2016 will go down in history as the year of the Brexit referendum and the victory of Donald Trump in the USA. Both of them marks a before and an after in world history and in the, until now, unstoppable economic globalization and global integration process. In this article we deal with both processes in the light of the losers of globalization theory. We show that there is a rising unrest for the unequal distribution of globalization prosperity. We will show also that this unrest goes beyond the, so called, losers of globalization. Finally, we will show that this ground is, besides some other factors, what is nourishing the rising of national-populism in western democracies.
